Alumni Chamber Singers to perform Saturday in Miller Theater

More than 30 Alfred University alumni Chamber Singers will return to the University for their final performance Saturday, June 10 in the Miller Theater.

Members of the Chamber Singers Alumni Choir have been preparing five choral selections on their own and will gather on the Alfred University campus to rehearse with Director Luanne Crosby on Friday, June 9. The singers will present the concert the following day at 4 pm.

The Saturday concert will also feature the "hot folk" band After Jack with 2003 alumna Emily Blankenship Tucker. After Jack is a three-woman combination of tight harmonies and string band hailing from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. They performed at the 2015 Chamber Singers Reunion as well.

The June 10 concert is free and the community is invited and encouraged to join the fun. After Jack will also perform at the Alfred Farmers Market from 11 am to 3 pm Sunday, June 11.
