Collaboration between librarians and glass art faculty and students at Alfred University was the topic of a presentation librarians Dannick and John Hosford and Professor of Glass Angus Powers gave at the 2023 SUNY Librarian Association Conference.

The presentation focused on the collaboration between the three faculty in the glass studio in Alfred University’s School of Art and Design, which offered students an opportunity to meet their library liaisons and increased the librarians’ role in the studio. It also provided the students with an opportunity to teach the librarians the basics of glassblowing in the hot shop.
