Assistant Professor of Photography Kelsey Sucena featured in Matte Magazine’s ‘EXCITING PHOTOGRAPHY NOW!’

Kelsey Sucena, assistant professor of photography in Alfred University’s School of Art and Design, is featured in Matte Magazine’s upcoming publication, “EXCITING PHOTOGRAPHY NOW!”

A 480-page survey of current American photography edited by Eve Lyons and Matthew Leifheit, “EXCITING PHOTOGRAPHY NOW!” features the work of 85 contributing artists, including Sucena.

“Included in the survey are many of our favorite photos submitted. We also invited additional photographers whose work we knew to be in dialogue, commissioning poems, essays, and interviews, totaling 85 contributors in all,” according to a statement on the “EXCITING PHOTOGRAPHY NOW!” website. “Our hope is that this issue serves not only as a document of current American photography, but a resource to students and anyone interested in learning more about pictures.

The “EXCITING PHOTOGRAPHY NOW!” survey will be released at the International Center of Photography Museum in New York City on December 6. Preorders are available here.
