Hot Dog Day 2024 logo design contest now open

The logo design contest for Hot Dog Day 2024 is now open for submissions. The winning design will adorn the Hot Dog Day t-shirts, posters, and other merchandise and paraphernalia celebrating next spring’s 52nd annual Hot Dog Day, scheduled for April 20, 2024.


Hot Dog Day is an annual event in which students from Alfred University and Alfred State College collaborate to raise funds supporting area charitable organizations. The event includes a host of games, activities and entertainments for the campus and local communities.

Guidelines for design submissions, which are due by 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024, are as follows:

  • The logo design must be your own original, unpublished work. By entering the competition, you agree that your submission is your work, and Hot Dog Day has exclusive rights to use your design.
  • Designs must be complete and final; sketches will not be considered.
  • Designs must include the event name "Hot Dog Day" and the year somewhere in the design.
  • Designs that depict alcohol and drug use or imagery will not be considered.
  • If you include the name of one college, include the name of the other (Alfred University/ Alfred State College).
  • One person can submit multiple designs.
  • Past designs may be updated and resubmitted if not chosen.
  • Design should be submitted as high-resolution JPG or PNG files of just the design image.

Please follow this link to submit you design or designs. The winning design will receive the following prizes: Free 2023 Hot Dog Day Shirt, poster, and any other promotional merch; name credit on the poster as the designer; $100 cash or gift card.
