Alfred University to host screening of film on the life of Martin Luther King Jr.

A film celebrating the life of Civil Rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. will be shown on Thursday, Jan. 18, from 7-9 p.m. in Alfred University’s Nevins Theater, Powell Campus Center.


The screening of the film is sponsored by the Alfred University Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and is part of the University’s observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which was Monday, Jan. 15. The film will focus on King’s life and legacy as a leader in the Civil Rights movement in the United States.

Members of the campus community and public are invited to attend the free movie. Snacks will be provided.
