First Alfred University Athletics Day of Giving launches March 19
Alfred University Athletics will launch its first Saxon Nation Day of Giving — “Go Saxons Day” — to support student-athletes on Tuesday, March 19, beginning at 11 a.m. and ending at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20.
“We’re calling all Saxon Nation alumni, families, and fans to get fired up for our student-athletes and make a gift to your favorite team or program,” said Deb Steward, Associate Vice President for Student Experience, Athletics, and Recreation. “Every gift makes a difference and donors can push their favorite team to win their share of the challenge dollars throughout the event.”
Alfred University alumni, families, and friends are asked to connect with us on social media. Take a selfie with the Go Saxons Day pennant (former student-athletes will have received it via the mail), tag our accounts and use the hashtag #GoSaxonsDay. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, and again from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, Go Saxons Day will go LIVE with interviews from students, coaches, and staff. Tune in (gosaxons.com/GoSaxonsDayLive) and hear the impact that gifts will make on our student-athletes' experiences.
