James Hansen, assistant professor of art history at Alfred University, recently presented a program on the Light Matter Film Festival in New Mexico.

Hansen presented a screening from the Light Matter Film Festival, an annual event dedicated to experimental film and media art, on March 1 at No Name Cinema in Santa Fe, NM. No Name Cinema is a non-profit microcinema, gallery, and community gathering space showcasing international and local experimental, avant-garde and repertory films, videos, and visual art.

Light Matter traveling programs will continue this summer on the international stage, with stops in Ecuador and Argentina.

Hansen expressed appreciation for support from the Pamela and Gene Bernstein Fund for Faculty and Student Development, which helped make his trip to New Mexico possible.
