Alfred Summer Arts 2023 features a return or Summer Ceramics Workshops and four weeks of arts workshops in a variety of media areas designed for participants working at all levels: artists, teachers, community members and visiting professionals.

CERAMICS WORKSHOPS

Summer Ceramic Workshops at Alfred are designed for participants working at all skill levels in ceramic art. The studios will come alive with demonstrations, lectures and conversation with Alfred’s Ceramic Art faculty, international resident artists, graduate teaching assistants, and fellow participants. 

  • 4 WEEK STUDIO INTENSIVE with Walter McConnell, Elsa Sahal & Youngmi Lee + 1 Day Workshops with Guest Artists Cory Brown/AMACO, Sanam Emami, Stephanie Hanes & Adero Willard   *available for college credit 
  • 2 WEEK WOOD FIRING with Matt Kelleher 
  • 2 WEEK DIGITAL CLAY with Del Harrow & Johnathan Hopp
