Tuesday, April 11, 7:30pm Miller Theatre Morgan Huang & Friends Concert Solo Tenor and Collaborative Concert Morgan Huang & Friends - Solo Tenor and Solo Tenor and Collaborative Concert, accompany by Laurel Buckwalter, Daisy Wu, Christine Perrotta Ziese and University Chorus as the guests artists. Morgan (Mingren) Huang is a young musician and a Visiting Assistant Professor of Music at Alfred University. The program includes art songs and folk songs from China, US and Germany.

Thursday, April 13, 12:15pm Nevins Theater Bergren Forum: Jonathan Ziese   “Content warnings in theatre­–a dialectic” A growing issue in contemporary theatre surrounds content warnings. Some who support them say that such warnings help empower and protect the health of the potential audience. Some who are opposed say they reduce artistic freedom and rob the audience of experiencing theatre to the fullest. Jonathan Ziese, Asst. Prof. of Theater, will dive into both sides of the argument.

Thursday, April 13, 1:30-4pm Glassblowing Studio Visiting Artist John Moran. John will demonstrate and lecture his glass sculpting techniques and lecture on his political motivations behind the work. John is a politically and socially engaged hot glass sculptor, mixed media artist, co-founder and operator at Gent Glas, and all around nice guy. He recently competed in and won Blown Away Season 3, Netflix’s competitive glass art reality TV show. He is an American currently living and working in Ghent, Belgium. 

Friday, April 14, 7:30pm Miller Theatre The AU Orchestra presents annual Spring Concert The Alfred University Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Lisa Lantz will perform its annual Spring Concert featuring student soloist, Vanessa Gazi.

April 14 - 23 IDEA Lab Come And Get Your Love A Solo Art Show by Leo Bonaccio celebrating indigenous and Afro-indigenous people sponsored by the IDEA lab Opening Reception April 14, 3pm

Rescheduled to April 25, 5pm CD Smith Theatre Popular Music Ensemble New Time/Date and Location! An intimate experience on the stage of Miller Theater with the pop music ensemble playing original compositions and reinterpretations of modern pop songs. Each song will be recorded live in front of the audience, both for video and audio purposes. Seating is very limited, first come first serve. Audience will sit on the stage with the ensemble!
