IDEA Lab News: We want to keep you in the loop with some changes on your first day back. Rey Jeong and Adero Willard have accepted faculty positions, at another institution. We are committed to continue to facilitate the important work of IDEA Lab with full support from the dean’s office and in collaboration with the authentic programming from our Chief Diversity Officer’s office.

At this time, we will work with our community to create new opportunities and programming for the growth and the next iteration of IDEA Lab. The space on the second floor where IDEA Lab was physically hosted will be used for another purpose. We have several options for a new locations of the IDEA Lab programming and hope to solidify this in the next month with input from our community.

We will work with faculty and students and staff  to  facilitate the work of IDEA Lab for our students, faculty and staff.

We are in a moment of opportunity to work together to continue cultivating a diverse and inclusive environment, providing co-teaching and co-learning experiences in the School of Art & Design + Performing Arts Division. In the coming weeks, you will receive an invitation to join participating faculty in conversation to imagine and reimagine the next iteration of the IDEA Lab. We are committed to supporting the continuation of this collaborative program.

If you have any questions, please connect with Assistant Dean Maria Bentley and Dean Lauren Lake. We are here to help and facilitate the continuation of this collaborative conversation as we shape and build the future of the IDEA Lab within the Arts at Alfred.
