ALFRED, NY -- The Alfred University dance program will host its End of Semester Showing Dec. 5 and 6 in the CD Smith III Theater of the Miller Performing Arts Center, with each performance beginning at 6 p.m. The performances are free and open to the public.

The End of Semester Showing is an informal performance of the learning and growth in Alfred University’s dance program. Each night will have a different lineup of works that include student performances from dance professors Chase Angier and Colleen Wahl’s dance courses, Composition 1, Fundamentals of Dance, Modern 1, and African Dance, as well as contributions from independent choreographers.

Alfred University's dance program is composition based and designed to develop artistry in dance making, performance and site-specific performance. The program is open to students of all levels regardless of experience or past training and promotes excellence in dance, as well as encourages cross-disciplinary work.

Audience members can support and applaud students of all levels and skill as they demonstrate their learning experiences of this semester and experience the challenge and excitement of performing live dance.
