Organizers of the fourth Osego Sculpture Biennial have invited Alfred University Professor of Sculpture Coral Lambert to install work in front of the Tyler Art Gallery on the SUNY Oswego campus.

Lambert previously participated in the SUNY Oswego inaugural Sculpture Garden in 2014, along with a public iron pour and will return to Oswego this year with a new work, Fall Star. that will be on loan for three years. Fall Star is approximately nine feet tall and five feet wide. Inspired by the autumnal colors, Lambert painted it in numerous layers of subtle reds, browns and oranges.

Lambert writes: “During the pandemic I often found myself turning to nature for some solace, or perhaps it was a much-needed distraction. I made note of the celestial events such as the super pink moon, meteor showers, flowers blooming, gardens growing and now the slow turn to winter. … This work reflects the wonderment of nature and celebrates renewal as the leaves fall, change their color, summer transforms to winter.”
