Bruno Lourensetto

Described as “impressively confident” by the New York Times and “simply stupendous” by the British Art Desk, Bruno Lourensetto acts as guest principal trumpet of the Miami Symphony Orchestra and second trumpet of the Portland Baroque Orchestra. Extremely versatile on both modern and natural trumpet, Bruno has served as principal trumpet of the Queretaro and Guanajuato Philharmonic Orchestras in Mexico and performed as soloist with the most acclaimed Early Music ensembles in North America, including the Pacific Baroque Orchestra, Early Music Vancouver and Julliard415, with Monica Hugget, Steve Stubbs, Jordi Saval and Richard Egarr.

Bruno Lourensetto has performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall and Linconln Center, toured Asia, Europe and Latin America multiple times and played under the baton of Valery Gergiev, Zubin Metha and Yan Pascal Tortelier. Winner of the Chicago Brass Competition and the BBC Music Magazine award, Bruno has played with the Allentown Symphony, Louisiana Philharmonic, Mineria Symphony in Mexico, Orchestra of the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo and Minas Gerais Philharmonic in Brazil.

Bruno attended the Music Academy of the West, YOA Youth Orchestra of the Americas, Britten Pears Festival and earned diplomas from the Mannes College in New York City and Indiana University, Master's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and bachelors from the University of São Paulo in Brazil. Mr. Lourensetto is the co-founder and co-artistic director of the Bolivian Chamber Music Society.
