The work and Practice of Amy Karle

Amy Karle is an internationally award-winning artist who questions the implications of technology on humanity.
Her work can be seen as artifacts of a speculative future where digital, physical and biological systems merge. Projects probe who we could become through exponential technologies and how interventions could alter the course of the future. She creates new hybridized forms of art, fusing ultra-contemporary fine art with biotech and digital culture that are then presented in museums. Karle has exhibited worldwide including at Ars Electronica, Centre Pompidou, FILE Festival, Media Arts Biennale, Mori Art Museum, and Smithsonian. She was named one of BBC’s 100 most inspiring women, “Most Influential Women in 3D Printing”, and was an Artist Diplomat through the U.S. Department of State.
