5/18/12 A materials research group headed by S.K. Sundaram, Inamori Professor of Materials Science at the Kazuo Inamori School of Engineering at Alfred University will present four papers at the Glass and Optical Materials Division, American Ceramic Society, annual meeting in St. Louis this week.

Alfred University researchers win Department of Energy grants
5/14/12 Two Alfred University professors will receive a combined total of $1.72 million for research through the Nuclear Energy University Programs (NEUP) of the federal Department of Energy. Both projects aim to find solutions for safe disposal of nuclear wastes that are critical to treating legacy defense wastes as well as managing wastes in nuclear power generation.

'Noteworthy' alumnus to deliver commencement address
5/04/12 David Miller, a 1966 alumnus of Alfred University (AU) and a member of its board of trustees since 1988, will deliver the address at this year’s commencement ceremonies, scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, May 12, in McLane Center on the Alfred University campus.
