Case’s experience with eSports traces back to his work as an editor for SmiteFire, a website that makes guides and builds for a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) called Smite. His background with this site, as well as his ties to SGS, helped him identify an opportunity to start the club. And while it may not tie into his major, he knows it will give him a chance to bond AU’s community together in a different way.

Case learned about Alfred when a University recruiter visited his high school in Brooklyn, NY. After making his first visit to campus, his mind was set. “I love nature, and the people here are so kind and compassionate,” he said. Powell is an especially important place for him. Not only is it home to SGS, but it is also where he made his first friends. Case looks forward to being a leader within the new, diverse community that the eSports club will foster.
