Modern Dance Fundamentals with Colleen Wahl.

Suspend, fall, inhale, lengthen, ground and push! This high school institute explores the world of human movement through Modern Dance. Students will learn fundamental practices and ideas related to modern dance. The focus of the institute will be in the dance studio where students will develop technically and as artists taking class and exploring how dance warm-ups build into phrase-work and choreography. They will also view several inspiring works of historical significance and explore basic dance-making ideas in the local natural landscape.

All levels; some experience needed.

All housing and meals will take place here on Alfred University’s campus.
