Camp Summary:
Come join Alfred University's Saxon Lacrosse coaching staff for a college-level skills clinic. The clinic will be held on Alfred University's Merrill Field. Instruction in this camp will be for the following positions:

  • Attack
  • Midfield
  • Defense
  • Goalie

Camp Schedule:

  • 10:00-10:30am: Check-In, Connor’s Pavilion
  • 10:30am-1:00pm: Skills Clinic and Scrimmages, Merrill Field
  • 1:00pm-1:30pm: Lunch, Connor’s Family Pavilion
  • 1:30pm-3:00pm: Campus Tour (Optional)

Jason Lockner

Director:
The camp will be directed by Alfred University's Men's Lacrosse Head Coach, Jason Lockner. Jason was appointed head coach of men's lacrosse at Alfred University in the fall of 2005. He came to AU from Alfred State College where he served as head men's lacrosse coach from 1997-2005. His team posted a 7-7 mark last year, leading the Saxons to a berth in the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Championship tournament. He was an All-Region and All-American defenseman as well as an Academic All-American while playing at Corning Community College where he earned his associate's degree in liberal arts in 1991. He transferred to SUNY Cortland where he was a two-year starter and the team leader in ground balls. He earned a bachelor's degree in health science from Cortland in 1995 and a master's degree in education from Cortland in 2000. Prior to taking the head coaching job at Alfred State, Lockner served as assistant men's lacrosse coach at Cortland from 1993-96.

Acceptance:
The program directors will evaluate all applications and determine who will be accepted. Acceptance and non-acceptance notifications will be sent via email. Once campers are accepted, they will be directed to pay the camp tuition and will be provided with the official schedule and online platform information.

The campus, a 6-hour drive from New York City, 2 hours from Buffalo and 1 1/4 hours from Rochester, is easily accessible by car or bus from all directions and is located just five miles south of Interstate 86. The nearest major airport is the Rochester International Airport (about 65 miles north). Transportation to and from that airport can be provided for an additional charge if we receive your request by June 14. After that date campers should make their own arrangements with an airport limo service.

The University may cancel any course or activity at any time because of insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If a program is canceled or postponed, the University will refund registration fees, but cannot be held responsible for other costs, charges, or expenses, including cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies.
