Dr. Jacalyn Wittmer Malinowski will present “Messages in the Mud: Exploring the Environmental History of Conesus Lake” for the Fall 2026 Environmental Studies Speaker Series. Dr. Jackie is an associate professor of geological sciences at SUNY Geneseo and runs the DEEP lab – Depositional Environments and Ecological paleobiology lab. In her own words she “focuses her research on stratigraphic and conservation paleobiology, combining sequence stratigraphy and paleoecology to investigate environments and ecological communities through time”.
