Chung Yoo
Born in Korea, Chung Yoo is a clarinetist and educator based in Dallas, Texas. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Clarinet Performance from the Manhattan School of Music, where he studied with Charles Neidich. A prizewinner in numerous competitions — including the Joongang Music Competition, one of Korea's most prestigious, the Eisenberg-Fried Concerto Competition, and the Artur Balsam Competition for Duos — Dr. Yoo has performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player across the United States and Korea. Recent engagements include Guest Principal Clarinet with the Sherman Symphony Orchestra and performances with Dallas Asian Winds. He is a founding member of Oolim Ensemble, a woodwind chamber group based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. In addition to his performing career, Dr. Yoo maintains an active teaching studio in the DFW region and is a returning Clarinet Artist at the MostArts Festival.
