Career Fairs

The Career Development Center organizes two large career fairs and one small fair every year, including the Fall Career Fair, the Spring Career Fair and the On Campus Job Fair.

Handshake is the #1 place where students find jobs and get hired. We’ve developed a way for you to attend career fairs virtually so you can meet interesting companies looking to hire students like you. For help or questions about attending or registering for a virtual career fair, refer to the Handshake links below.

Alfred University has partnered with Handshake to offer career fairs virtually for the 2021-2022 academic year. Handshake has built an innovative solution to help employers engage with students in a virtual fair environment.

Within this tool, Handshake supports 1:1 video chats and large-group video events. With campuses closed indefinitely, employers will have new ways to connect with students:

  • Participate in university-sponsored virtual career fair on via Handshake
  • Registration options will vary per school, just like an in-person fair.
  • Conduct 1:1 interviews or small-group info sessions

Our career fairs are designed to give students the ability to explore career opportunities available in the marketplace, meet prospective employers and exercise professional behavior, while employers benefit by meeting educated, skilled potential employees.
