Earth Day Campus Cleanup

Earth Day Campus Cleanup

Alfred University will hold a campus cleanup event on Thursday, April 20. The campus cleanup-themed "Invest in the World at Alfred University" and held in observance of Earth Day (April 22)-will be held in the afternoon and be followed by a barbecue luncheon for volunteers.

Students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to take part in the cleanup and are asked to register using the Signup Genius link below. Pre-registration is required so organizers will know how much food to prepare.

Volunteers are asked to arrive in front of Powell Campus Center between 11:45 a.m. and noon on Thursday, at which point they will be divided into two groups responsible for cleaning up locations on the north and sound ends of campus. Volunteers will disperse to their work locations and will return to the area in front of Powell Campus Center between 2:30 and 3 p.m., at which point the meal will be served. A vegan option will be available.

The University held a similar event last April and plans to make the cleanup an annual opportunity for the Alfred University community to beautify the campus. So come on out, pitch in, and enjoy some delicious barbecue.
