Bergren Forum - Lio Bonaccio, "How Do We Preserve Indigenous Culture and Language?"
It is evident that Indigenous peoples across the Americas are still feeling the effects of displacement and colonialism. More often than not, Indigenous peoples are excluded from decisions about the preservation of their own culture and language. Indigenous Undergrad student Lio Bonaccio will discuss select efforts that have aided preservation, as well as how we can decolonize spaces and mindsets.The Bergren Forum takes place every Thursday lunchtime during the semester from 12:15 pm to 1:00 pm in Nevins Theater. You're welcome to bring your own lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided.
