About this Facility

The 7,000-square-foot addition to Binns-Merrill Hall contains glass science laboratories, including a glass fiber drawing unit, thanks to a gift from General Electric, and a specially equipped biomaterials laboratory, made possible by a gift from the Keck Foundation, as well as office space for graduate students and faculty members. The Hall of Glass Science and Engineering was built by the State University of New York Construction Fund at a cost of $4.2 million, and dedicated in April 1999.
