The Career Development Center collects post-graduation first destination data to better understand what Alfred University graduates do after completing their degrees. This information helps the University track employment, graduate school enrollment, service programs, military service, and other meaningful post-graduation outcomes.
First destination data supports institutional planning, accreditation, recruitment, academic program review, and student career preparation. It also helps current and prospective students, families, faculty, staff, alumni, and employers better understand the value of an Alfred University education.
Graduates may report outcomes such as:
- Employment
- Graduate or professional school
- Military service
- National or international service
- Fellowships or gap year experiences
- Still seeking employment or continuing education
The Career Development Center reports first destination outcomes in alignment with national career services standards and best practices. Data are reviewed and shared in aggregate form to protect individual student privacy.
