The Program
Join us at Alfred University for an inspiring one-week immersion in wind band performance. Designed for high school wind, brass, and percussion musicians, this program focuses on tone production, musical interpretation, and ensemble musicianship. Daily full-band rehearsals and guided instruction will prepare participants for a culminating concert at the end of the week, showcasing their growth and artistry on stage at Alfred University.

This pricing includes tuition, materials, meals, and housing. All housing and meals will take place here on Alfred University’s campus.

About the Instructor
Mason St. Pierre is Assistant Professor of Music at Alfred University, where he leads instrumental ensembles and teaches in the Performing Arts Division. A dedicated conductor, scholar, and educator, he is passionate about developing and nurturing well-rounded musicians, bringing a wide-ranging background to his work. St. Pierre holds a Bachelor of Music in Education and Trumpet from Ithaca College and a Master of Music in Conducting from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where he studied with John P. Lynch. He received the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Conducting from the Eastman School of Music, where he studied with Mark Davis Scatterday. During his doctoral studies, he served as Assistant Conductor for the Eastman Wind Ensemble, the Eastman Wind Orchestra, and the University of Rochester Wind Symphony. In addition, he taught undergraduate and graduate courses in conducting and facilitated seminars in wind literature. Prior to graduate study, St. Pierre held teaching positions in the public schools of California and New York.
