Veterans Affairs

at Alfred University

Alfred University is dedicated to supporting military service members, veterans and dependents in their educational goals. Our veteran support team will assist in your transition to Alfred in any way they can, from health and wellness to academic services to assisting you with your VA education benefits.

At Alfred University, we understand that the tuition assistance and GI Bill® process can be long and confusing. Let our staff help you through the process and give you the resources that will make the process easier.

As a student veteran, you may receive college credit for prior military school attendance and your military experience. This means that you may have a head-start on earning your degree, depending on the program and accepted credits. You may also be eligible for additional resources and financial aid through other scholarships and programs.

The University is proudly enrolled in the Yellow Ribbon Program and gives military discounts campus wide, which includes a free parking pass, bookstore discount and even a discount at our on campus dining halls and Starbucks!
