Patsy Rausch

Patsy Rausch is a visual arts teacher at Kincaid Elementary in Cobb County Georgia. In 2016, she instituted an innovative, district-wide STEAM-Integrated Portable Papermaking Studio. The studio is one of the National Collaborators of Peace Paper Project and is the only portable paper studio in the state of Georgia. The papermaking studio has been highlighted in The Atlanta-Journal Constitution and GAEA Collage Magazine as well as a STEAM focused exhibit in the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art.
Patsy coaches Visual Arts, Science, & STEM/STEAM teachers how to incorporate the portable paper studio in their school’s curriculum, not only as an Arts Integration method but as an opportunity to share the craftsmanship and traditions of hand papermaking in history as well as contemporary paper arts. She has presented, workshopped, and studio instructed at GAEA, Cobb County STEMapaloosa, Smith-Gilbert Gardens, Marietta Cobb Museum of Art, and The Robert C. Williams Paper Museum at Georgia Tech.
Patsy’s personal works incorporate photography, paper arts, collage, and printmaking to produce large mixed media pieces on canvas and in sculptural form. Her work, both in papermaking and photography, have been included in “Art of the Art Teacher” at the Mableton Arts Center, The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art, and M2R Fence Art Gallery.
