Isoa Chapman

Isoa is originally from New Zealand and has worked with many orchestras including the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and the Auckland Philharmonia. Isoa obtained a Master’s Degree at the IWMC in Ireland where he studied with Isabelle Faust, Bruno Giuranna and Mauricio Fuks, and subsequently came to Michigan State University and obtained his Doctorate. Isoa has worked alongside of CalArts violinist Mark Menzies and last year collaborated with the composer Cesar Potes at the New York City Electroacoustic Festival. As a soloist in the Beethoven Violin Concerto, The Christchurch Press, NZ remarked on his 'warm lyricism’ and 'excellent poise and control'.
