Corey Fecteau '01, MSEd '19

Assistant Dean of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, Alfred University

Corey Fecteau (she or they) is a visual artist and proud three-time Alfred University alum. In Corey’s two-decade career at AU, she has held a variety of mentoring, advising, and teaching roles in the admissions, career development, service learning, and academic affairs departments. Currently, Corey is honored to serve as Assistant Dean for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. 

In addition to her work at Alfred University, Corey has volunteered in a leadership capacity for several non-profit community organizations. She co-created a portfolio review program and reviewed grant proposals at the ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes, volunteered as a primary and general Election Inspector for the Allegany County Board of Elections, consulted on social media strategy and internship development for A21CG (Alfred 21st Century Group), was a founding board member for IMPACT Friends Group (Improving Allegany County Trails), and held two leadership positions on the board of the Tri-County Arts Council.

After joining the Tri-County Arts Council board in 2018, Corey served as vice president from 2019-2020 and then became the first female president of the TCAC board in 2020. Corey led the Tri-County Arts Council board through two executive director searches, a relocation, COVID-19 pandemic operations, and two facilities expansions before stepping down in 2024 to focus on her art practice.

Corey lives locally on a hobby farm with her partner, dogs, chickens, and ducks. In addition to her art practice, Corey is an avid hiker and kayaker, home remodeler, and flower gardener.
