Life Skills & Leadership Graduate Assistantship

5 hours/week graduate assistantship with the AU Athletic Department

Description

The graduate assistant for Life Skills & Leadership Programming will work with both the Assistant VP for Athletics & Recreation and the Life Skills Coordinator to assist in programming with first-year student-athletes as well as leadership programming through the Judson Leadership Center.

Responsibilities

  • Help organize and run the first-year life skills seminar
  • Work directly with each team’s peer mentors to gain insight into the immersion of all first-year student-athletes
  • Will assist the Life Skills Coordinator in following up on Beacon Alerts and doing class checks and referrals for FY student-athletes

In regard to the LEAD Athletic leadership program, they will work directly with the GA in the Judson Leadership Center on programming and facilitation of the LEAD Athletic program.
